#13: YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND IN ME!. [180911 + 230911 + 260911]

WOW IT'S PRETTY CRAZY AWESOME HOW MY BANCHO STUFF GOT RECEIVED, I AM STILL PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
1) THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
2) THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING
3) THANK YOU FOR INSPIRING ME ;)

VERY LONG POST AHEAD BCOZ THERE'S JUST TOO MANY THINGS TO COVER AND I DON'T REALLY HAVE ENOUGH TIME/ENERGY TO GO THROUGH EVERYTHING AND PICK OUT E IMPT STUFF. THIS BLOGPOST IS ABT E YG-FAMILY RELATED EVENTS IN E PREVIOUS MONTH [NAMELY SE7EN AT WORLD RUNWAY PREMIER + GD&TOP AND SEUNGRI AT SINGAPORE F1 NIGHT RACE + SEUNGRI'S SINGASTAY] THAT I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SHARE ABT. PRETTY MUCH POURED MY HEART INTO THIS, SO TAKE TIME TO GO THRU EVERYTHING YEAH~ :)

*WORLD, HOLD ON!. [180911]
Got invited to attend the inaugural World Runway Premiere!. Met up with my fam [The Saids] before I left. They're awesome, don't mess with em. Or I will make sure you lose a nipple. :)

On the way in the Circle Line train [I don't take trains often so yeah] bumped into one of the guys in ITE Macpherson's Dancefusion. Gosh I miss dancing so much. Shoutout to Soul'd Out!~ Haha. Reached and met Jessica and her friend Rebecca. They said my bag is so glaring and that I look familiar. Saw some Lasalle schoolmates too. And some other familiar faces from cosplay and gaming. Singapore is too small sometimes.

A guy asked if we had tickets and was about to kindly offer us his!. How nice. I hope that happens to me more often at other shows. Haha. Got our flag and the Japanese guy asked "You from Singapore?." Haha. It always amuses me how people question my locality. Am I not Singaporean enough?. ;)

Zureena finally reached and we chatted abit before Jessica had to go with her friend so Zureena and I went to our favourite place to camwhore and started doing so. I've never said this before but I love taking photos with her bcoz she is as vain/individual/fun as me. We don't meet often so when we do we take lots of photos and stuff and it's somehow always memorable to keep it until our next meet. Extremely long wait before we could enter also, so got to talk with her quite alot until we ran out of topics. Haha. :D

The event kicked off with a really energetic [I assume] Indian singer, I suppose that was why I saw some of his fans earlier on. There was an awkward pause for some time before Vj Utt suddenly came out!. Ah I saw him too earlier on but I didn't know he was hosting. The 1st match was streetchicstyle, and I love how they said "It's showtime!~" before every walk. Haha.

Team France went first, and then Team Italy who used Run The World as the soundtrack. Followed by Team USA, before Team Japan. Team Japan was so cute, they wore I*sequined-heartshaped* SG tee and used Born This Way as their music. They definitely lived up to their country, despite the glitch in the end. I love how they came out with their first look too!. Inspired~ Team UK came out really to win and enjoy. Partly being biased bcoz their clothes are my type, and they also used Boing Boom Tschak as their music [which by far I think is the most latest/updated song in the entire show] :D

Team Russia had many nudes [both colours and otherwise], and I love their tights and knees tattoos. Also gotta love the "shock factor", when the hat that the model was wearing is actually a purse. Team Brazil got a good mix of styles, and very fun. Last but not least, Team Singapore!. They used Obsessed as their music, haha and was happy to see that the outfits were very SPF. ;)

Results were being tallied and Nare came on to perform. Before that, Utt asked if there were "any fans of Se7en", and I was yelling "SEEEVVEEENNN!~". He then asked "how many" there are and I thought he said somein like "scream louder" so I shouted "SEEVVVVENNNN" again before bursting into laughter that I just said Se7en had 7 fans. LOL

Team UK was really nice, thanking us for having em and even asking us to come to the UK!~ For the 2nd round, they chose Team Italy to work with. Team France chose Team USA, Team Japan chose Team Russia and Team Singapore chose Team Brazil. Just wna mention that the leader of Team Singapore, Jen Su, actually has the same birthday as me!. Another Team 1212 member, how awesome. I was so excited when I found out and it's so nice to share a birthday with someone like her ;)

Although I think Team Singapore could've used a better song, I love their outfits in the 2nd round!. It's a mixture of traditional and modern designs with some additional features like sparkles, I just love everything about it. Team Japan used Just Dance as their song, which got Zureena singing along and me rapping along. They had this turquoise outfit which I love, and a triple-reveal outfit which I thought was pretty dope.

After their walk a World Runway staff actually came back out to pick up the dropped outfit during the reveal and it was so funny. When he ran onstage we cheered for him and he responded, and he walked back wearing the kimono-esque outfit. Kawaii-desu!~ ^^ Team France had a really cute song, and as expected Team UK came out with even better outfits than their previous round and I love all of em. After the round they had a results count and...

Finally, SE7EN came on!. He opened with Digital Bounce [to my delight] and I totally felt badass rapping along to TOP's part. Haha. Se7en also performed "his favourite song" Come Back To Me, when he shooked hands with an official photographer!. Haha. I've never watched him perform live [although I know he came to Singapore before] and I'm glad this is my first time. He was pretty sweet and it was really nice to watch him perform after a [rather] long day. :)

He also performed Lalala, coupled with some really cute small talk like wanting to "come again" and "hope to come back and do a concert here" before ending his showcase with Passion. Damn, Kpop was so good back then. It's almost like the Kpop industry is moving too fast that too many "artistes" and "songs" are being churned out unneccessarily, and kinda clogging up the barrel [in my opinion.] And seeing him perform with 4 dancers [5 guys onstage] made me miss Big Bang so much :(

The results were announced and Team UK won!~ Perfect way to round up the night, I was rooting for em :D Their outfits were amazing and suits the soundtrack and all I really loved it. Plus they gave freebies too, and were really nice to Singapore and the competition in general. I think it was rather obvious that the show's a first, it wasn't the best fashion show I've been to, but hey it's for a good cause and with a nice concept. Looking forward to the next one!. :D

I've never chased after anyone and waited for their vans to leave and all, but I got the chance this time around to watch Se7en leave!. Haha. Just happened to go out at the right time and place. What a nice way to end off the day and warm me up for the coming Friday for F1!~ ^^ \m/

Had good day with good friends and music and fashion, my photos are here and you might not be able to see Zureena's set of photos so here's one!. Yours truly, Singapura girls. :D

*LIVING LIFE IN THE FAST LANE!. [230911]
Where do I begin?! I couldn't sleep knowing that GD & TOP and Seungri are coming to my homecity again. They reached at ard 5am, and once I knew they were safe in their hotel I wished em Baby Goodnight [in my heart lah] and fell asleep. Woke up pretty late the next/event day itself, the day started of somewhat in a wrong way so I was somehow hesitant to go out. Was already getting messages regarding their setlist and whereabouts, and also semi-threats that I should get my lazy ass down as soon as possible. Haha

Before I continue, I just want to give a shoutout to all those of you who sent me your well-wishes and encouragement in finding my cosmic twin Seungri. I know I've said it before, but I can't thank you all enough. Occasionally, I feel like giving up but you guys never fail to remind me how close I am to success and why I shouldn't stop now. I wish you all were here with me to share the joy of the events, and that one day I can meet you all to thank you personally.

Late afternoon I went out to meet IBB Adeline at Dhoby Ghaut and met up with the rest to have our early dinner. This sounds kinda lame but on my way I actually saw George Young crossing the road the opposite way and he smiled at me so that made my day so much better. George never fails to amuse me with his appearances and tweets, he is my favourite local media personality so far :D

Reached City Hall mrt and I went to pass my present for Seungri [long and funny story, if you're my very very good friend only then maybe I'll tell you] ;) Bumped into quite a few friends, it's always nice to see familiar faces among a pro-foreigners crowd :) I've been to the Singapore F1 Night Race for all the years so far except 2010, so I was already comfy with everything.

It was kinda funny to be going with these group of friends this time around, most of em have never been to it and were scared of the sound and stuff to the extent they even chatted about the probability of dying [from the cars] at the event. Me being the unnie/nuna, I can't help but laugh and mention how everything will be fine [and that I've been through it many times and that I'm still alive] LOL ;)

Teehee!~ :P Gosh how I would love to perform at a same event alongside Linkin Park and Shakira. Maybe it's just not my time yet :( Reached just nice when Charice started to perform. Not a fan at all, so Adeline, Ryan and I decided to walk around. I've never been to Zone 4, so I was quite curious to see the difference [was from / always been in Zone 1] :)

You can check out Adeline's photos here and mine here. I just wna bring up that I've always loved the F1 lightballs thingy, and this year they had crown-ish ones so yeah I love it more now. And how appropriate ;)

Walked quite a bit, almost got offered a free Johnnie Walker's Black Party invite by an "angmoh" guy. Haha. A pity I don't club, but thanks, I hope you enjoyed your night. :) Was lepak-ing at a corner when there were suddenly some fireworks and it was pretty cool. I love fireworks bcoz they're so pretty [usually] and loud [so I can scream my deepest confessions for fun and no one would hear em] and then the aftersmell of burnt gunpowder. Also bcoz of Katy Perry's song and I guess I am just a fire-type :)

Went back to the village and sat, the last race for the day started and I don't know why but somein just didn't feel right. I guess it's just one of those days that don't really feel so good but in time you'll look back and just remember the happy memories. Nearer to the show we moved in to the Padang and sat and mingled around. Weirdly enough we were surrounded by more "angmohs" and some asked who GTopRi were. Haha. Felt like being cheesy and saying "I won't tell you bcoz you'll fall in love with em too" HAHAHAHA :P

My "ideal" pairing. If you get what I mean ;)

No idea who these girls are but I love this photo. SGVIPS REPRESENT!~ ^^ \m/ ;)

They changed the timeslot to later than before, and the show started even later -_-" Dj Murf opened for em and the music was good and all but it was so long we kinda got tired of him, us SG girls are pretty impatient ya know~ As if we weren't clearly annoyed, it was pretty obvious that he/they were tryna promote 2NE1 too much. Yeah yeah I know it's the same family and stuff but I came for Big Bang and if you're gna gimme half the time of the set to other artistes then I think that's just really bad showmanship and service.

I suppose I should be thankful that they came, I still remember those days when I would pray at night that BB would do somein outta Korea for once and maybe, just maybe somein in Singapore. Those were the days when Kpop was still unpopular and I would find joy in even finding a local who liked BB too. This F1 show also happens to be an 11months anniversary since I first saw Big Bang in real life at Korean Pop Night Concert 2010, so I find a personal meaning to it somehow.

Seungri kinda came on a stumble [if you were there you'd know what I mean], but oh my he was so adorable that night. Despite his fly malfunction and the cameraman having to focus on the dancer more as he zip it up. And I still wish it was me who was dancing with him onstage instead. Having the same birthdate with him I suppose I have some sort of sense where he's coming from, and I find it amusing when he sweet-talks. Someimes I think they're so cheesy, but I actually like it. Especially when he says "awesome" ;) At first I thought I was being biased but I found out many others liked him more after his performance that night too so I guess my biasedness is justified lololol ;) But he did do well, I am proud of him. 121290 ^^ \m/

GD & TOP came on after. Was a bit disappointed that their performance wasn't as strong as always, I don't know if they were trying too hard to impress "the Americans" or if it's bcoz of somein personal but it was rather obvious to me that somein about it was... lacking. I suppose we all know by now about GD's current issue, so maybe that was what that was bugging him down. I hope he realizes how much he means [to almost everything] and gets well soon, bcoz things just seem incomplete without his usual spirit :') I'm not just saying this bcoz I'm a Vip, but even my non-Vip/Kpop friends were like "what happened?." and is wishing the best for him :)

Still on a complaining note, I HATE how they said "throw your fucking hands up". I'm not very kind with my words either, but I hate it when people curse unneccessarily. To hear it from my [top few] favourite aristes is even more annoying. Big Bang, I really don't think you need to be all sexual and vulgar to break into the "American" market. I know it's part of promotions to stand out among all the other groups, but trust me when I say you have enough talents to do so by itself. You do not [and should not] need to do all these overrated cheaptricks to get attention. Please don't be naive and think this is the way to do go about doing your work. Us Vips don't feel as good as we did before and we've always been supportive and trying to protect you, so it would be nice if you could return the favour by taking care of our hearts and giving us the good music and entertainment that you always do :)

The stage was pretty nice, although the visualizations was extremely lame. It's like those Windows Media Player kind. The intro videos were alright though. Big Bang/everyone else, you should really hire me to do these kinda video art. Bcoz you're worth it and it makes the world look a lil less stupid ;)

On a brighter note, TOP was surprisingly more extroverted than usual. I finally understand why people say he's funny and weird. When he suddenly started singing Bom's part in Oh Yeah, I had tears in my eyes from laughing. I feel badass rapping to TOP's parts, so I wonder if he feels pretty when he sings Bom's part?. Haha. During High High the staff asked us to go into the fanzone so we had an epic dash, it was awkwardly fun. It was such a sudden mad dash that when we found a good spot, I just stood there for a second and thought "now what?." Haha. Not sure what they were doing, but damn, TOP has quite a good ass for a Korean!.

The 3 of em then came out again and perform How Gee [again, I question that song performance choices] and although it's always nice to see Seungri [he took off his jacket this time around, mesti pasal panas haha] I guess somein about BB performing with incomplete members just feels different. Especially in a grp where the members personality are rather different that they compliment each other so much, it was a bit tough to watch with the missing links. Daesung, I hope you're doing better now. Taeyang, you've disappointed a lot of fanboys for not coming. Puhaha :)

There was a crowd outside waiting for em to come out. My friend got an autograph. I just think it's funny that the security in this picture is actually looking at and smiling at the camera in this picture. Haha.

This sounds kinda lame [also] but although I've seen em at all 3 shows in Singapore, I still find a part of me excited to see em again. Even if my brain is well aware that they're gonna perform the same damn song again [for what reason, I guess only God knows -_-"]. I wish they knew that us SGVips are smart and we do know most [if not all] of their songs, and that they don't have to stick with the usual "hits" for performances. They can also perform their older and unpromoted songs. I also wish they knew that they don't have to be all pretentious and put up a front to act cool to impress us. We "know" BB a lil too well, and hope to get closer to you whenever you come around, so you can just drop the facade and warm up to us already. Haha ;)

The show ended earlier than said, which was kinda sad. As usual, the songs played after it are always so mood-killing somehow. This time it was Jason Mraz's Life Is Wonderful [awkward], followed by Bruno Mars's The Lazy Song. The Lazy Song = Poreotics = Quest Crew. I just want to say that I feel terrible as a Questie to not support em when they perform later that night for LMFAO. It's depressing that I didn't get to see Ryanimay, probably the only guy I've been liking for almost 6years straight. The funniest thing is, Ryan [as in my friend Ryan], also asked me while we were hanging out if I loved Big Bang or Quest Crew more. My heart died a lil inside :(

I'm still mad at GTopRi bcoz it seemed as if they came only to "do their job" as late and quickly as possible so that they could go off and party. I also blame it on Dj Murf. I know I don't look mad in these photos but basically I was just too tired to express it. Heh.

Anyway, Utt was also at Avalon and took photos with GTopRi. Starting to think that he might be a YGfanboy?. Hehe. GTopRi had a show the next day at my 2nd country [AMACIAM, MALAYSIA!~] :) I heard Seungri said "bagus" during his small talk?. How cute. I love how he loves foreign language too and makes an effort to charm the audience. I also heard he said he wna live in KL?. LOL Nice~ Seungri, come find me I'll teach you more Malay words or if you need anything Singapore/Malay!~ ;)

For a one-day situation, there were lotsa ups and downs, but all in all it was a good experience and I'm glad I shared it with the right friends. So choose your friends wisely. :) Here's a video of the F1 trip. Sorry for the rough edits [or lack thereof] and all, I had to "experiment" the softwares and this became my victim bcoz I had other stuff on-hand to be done. Check it out!~ :D

*SEUNGAPORI!. [260911]
If that wasn't enough of an emotional ride, I woke up to a message from a friend notifying me that Seungri just updated his Me2Day. When I saw the photo, I was shocked bcoz I KNOW that it was taken at Sentosa. At first I thought he took it when he stayed for F1, but I got told that he is actually not back in Korea yet and he was actually spotted in Singapore!. OTL

It was so crazy, almost a whole group of people went for a manhunt [including me] lol. Met up with Maressa and Chloe [who I just made Twitter-friends with on the day itself lol] but I had to leave halfway. They did find him anyway and I'm very much emo and envious of all the girls that got to see/take photo/chat with him. And to the boys who played ball with him, do not let me meet you in real life or I will give you deathstares. Haha

One of the things I fail at at being a Singaporean/Malay is that I actually pretty much hate Sentosa. But I suppose it's somewhat improved now. Anyway, a funny thing that happened when I was there was there were guys who were actually checking me out/hitting on me, and I was all "do you know where's Seungri?." Maybe I took my pitiful face a lil too extreme haha. But I really wanted to find him. Lain yang cari, lain yang dapat -_-" Haha.

The gifts that I never got to pass to him. It's my own recipe, a remake of the original Sugee. I call it SeungJi, named after Seungri and Jiyong. Hehe.

I heard he went to Orchard and Haji Lane the next day, and I couldn't focus on school for the whole day. Worst thing is, being in a school that is actually in a tourist district. And once again, I left Orchard and Bugis just before Seungri was spotted there. Hate myself for not staying a bit longer, but I have a life to lead. Seungri, next time come faster. Pretty please~ :)

WOULDN'T IT BE LOVELY IF I COULD PLAY BALL GAMES ON THE BEACH WITH SEUNGRI, THEN TAKE PHOTOS TGT AND CHILL AND CHAT AT A CAFE?. AND THEN GO SHOPPING AND SIGHT-SEEING!. NOW YOU KNOW WHAT I'D LIKE FOR MY/OUR 21ST BIRTHDAY!~ ;)

I know that things are rough for VIPs now but I hope this video I made about the event made things a bit brighter for you. I also know that life hasn't been that great for most of my friends in real life, and I hope that we will keep taking everything in as they come and just do our best. Until then, please don't let life screw you up. I know that you are stronger than you think you are, let's not waste any more life. Let's pick up the pieces and keep moving forward into the light. If you don't believe there's a light at the end of the tunnel, that's bcoz it currently in you. Let's shine a light. ;)

WE'RE LOOKING UP AT THE SKY!. :D

MAD LOVE, THANKS A BILLION AND GOD BLESS~~ ^^ \m/

#12: MAT REP-RESENT!. [220811]

SO HERE IT IS!. MY 1ST ASSIGNMENT WRITE UP!~ I AM TYPING THIS WITH BLISS~~ :D

When I received my project brief, I immediately had to rule out my previous idea that I had in summer on what I wanted to do [bummer~]. Initially I wanted to tape a deaf guy to portray the difference in sights and sounds of a life portrait but it didn't work out. After much rethinking, I had to come up with another interesting subject for my video. I thought of a few personalities that I would love to work on/with.

Typical me, I went back to my own "self". Like how my last assignment was a video about something close to my heart [skateboarding/gaming], I wanted to do somein that meant somein to me. Since Hari Raya was around the corner, I thought of doing somein Malay. I happened to see Bancho the Matrep's tweet in my Twitter feed and at that moment it just snapped in my head that he would be perfect. So I tried my luck [and got lucky], and soon enough everything just fell into place.

On the day itself, I met Bancho the Matrep and his cameraman 626 at Little India station. Mainly bcoz we didn't want to reveal where we stayed, but I must say it paid off bcoz I can't imagine doing it at any of ours. Reached LASALLE and explained to em more, and they were pretty game. I had class for a bit so I passed em my EX1 for em to get comfy with. Forgot to put shotgun though, but lucky the scenes were decent.

Afterschool we moved on to a nearby HDB to record the interview/vlog part. For some weird reason, the traffic was rather busy that day but other than that everything went fine and we all got a lil too comfy and lost track of time. We then had to pull a "fast game" which was really funny. What completely caught me off guard was when I saw his eyes. You see the thing about Asians is usually they look good with shades, and when they take it off their aesthetic value drops immediately. But for Bancho's case, he really has stunning eyes. I was absolutely jealous!~ ;)

It was already time to break fast when we left, and we went to dine at the pratashop nearby Bugis. Got to chat more casually and about more stuff so it was real nice. They said I didn't look my age [I don't think I act like one too] which I always find amusing. It's strange bcoz I always think that I am quite a late bloomer, at least in terms of experiences. As in, what I am experiencing now should've happened say, 2 years ago?. Haha.

Anyway, very fun to chat with another Singaporean [what more, Malay] who loves Youtube as much [if not more] than I do. Exchanged video-making experiences [they even watched my embarrassing old videos], and we even talked about money at one point [which I never thought it would come up, I don't even talk about it with my friends] but it was all well. Went to Dhoby Ghaut after our meal and recorded some final takes before calling it a day. It was a lil bit of a pity bcoz Bancho was so much better after the food. Haha. Anyway, it was a beautiful night. Definitely made into my Top 3 Mondays list. ^^ \m/

I was kind of afraid he wouldn't warm up to me but in the end I think I warmed up to him more instead. The fact that we were all at our firsts made things easier. It was my first time shooting entirely on someone else, so I wasn't really confident or know what to expect. It's also a shame that some things didn't get on tape/I couldn't release it, but all's good.

To the haters of Bancho, I seriously have no idea what to do with you. As irritating as he can be, I think that one can't help but find him endearing. Even with the stereotypical vibe, he is just a nice guy with somein to say who likes to entertain and make people happy. He still thinks of me as a "fan" though, and I gotta say after meeting him I've kinda turned into one. I still don't think I deserve to be called his "fan" though [what kind of "fan" watches a video and loves it and then forget about it until eons later], so I really hope that I'll at least get a thank-you from a real Bancho fan for doing this.

And I'm typing this not to boast but to share bcoz I know that some of you girls [and guys] would like to read it. Don't lie. Hehe. What a long write-up. If you are wondering how I remember all this, I have a diary to refer to. Might link up the photos and the other stuff later. There are actually 2 versions of the video, the final "professional" video itself, and this one with bloopers and my talk [Director's Cut]. Check it out!~

MAT REP'RESENT [DIRECTOR'S CUT].

Bancho and 626, major thanks for your help!. :)
And thank you for giving me absolute freedom for my video. :D
Take care and God bless!~ ;)

I HOPE THAT WE HAVE INSPIRED YOU TO MAKE GOOD VIDEOS,
HOPEFULLY ONE DAY SINGAPORE CAN HAVE A VIDCON TOO~~ ;)
I DID THIS MAINLY FOR MYSELF AND FOR MY VIEWER'S PLEASURE,
BUT IF I DONT GET AN A FOR THIS I WILL RAGE. :)
HAHA. THANKS A BILLION AND GOD BLESS~~ ^^ \m/

#11: YOU'LL SEE WHY IT'S VENOM I RHYME. [030911]

BRRRAAAAAAAAA!~ YES I JUST TYPED BRA EVEN IF I'M NOT WEARING ONE AT THE MOMENT. HAHA. ANYWAYYY, JUST REALIZED IT'S A MONTH SINCE I SAW B.o.B LIVE AND HERE I AM, AT ANOTHER RAP-RELATED TOPIC. JUST A QUICK POST, HERE GOES!~

3 Sep 2011, Limited Edt Vault, 313@Somerset!.
Supposedly I had a Kpop Amazing Race event, but it was cancelled and I slept in, missing out on the free lunch. After doing some work I went to meet my family++ for lunch and shopping, before leaving for the Duels Official event. Followed by another dinner meet-up. :)

I was first introduced to Duels Official by "Lemoncrew" Lemonade [Faiz]. Bcoz I am a smartiepanty, I was blown away by these guys who brilliantly come up with disses for each other. I hate bickerings, but it's very nice to see good quarrels and valid arguments. I followed the scene for sometime, occassionally forgetting about the whole thing [haha] and just picking things up back where I left off. Faiz and I battled once and it was really fun.

Somewhen nearing end of August, I got to know that there'll be a battle at 313, containing [probably] the top few in the setlist. Although it bothers me a lil that I'll be immersing myself in a room of underage Malay boys, I decided to just go, in pursuit of witty wordplay and smart sarcasm. Was supposed to go with some friends but they all backed out. Haha. Plus it's at one of my favourite shopping malls, I would be upset with myself if I miss this one out. It's these kinda days that I wish I was a boy. But then again, I love shopping and men too much so I guess being born a girl is still my best option [not like I had one, but you get what I mean] ;)

Reached around 13minutes late, was just nice for Juxtme's [get it?. hehe] battle with Zun Yi. Nice warm-up battle, wasn't tight or anything but nice.

Found myself a comfy corner with leopard-print sneakers to stand beside. Haha. It's funny how I've been to 313 for God-knows-how-many times, but I never realized this shop existed. After the warm-up battle, there was an odd break as we wait for Rapscallion. Awkward silence for me~ Haha. Thankfully Hakim "Sup'prize" came outta nowhere and stood beside me. I think he was standing there for quite sometime but I couldn't remember his name and say hi. Eventually I did, but anyways it was nice to see a familiar face. :)

The place was real nice though, strangely feels rather warm and comfy. Plus I am fond of kicks so it felt pretty good. The crowd was rather small but I suppose in some ways everyone that needed to be there was there and thus it didn't really matter. When asked to make some noise, everyone was somehow pretty civil and just cheered. There was one part when someone said we can make any noise we want, and a guy went "baaaaa~" in a goat's tone. Hilarious.

Rapscallion reached and before the 2-on-2 began they took photos, how cute. Haha. Sad my photo's rather unclear, I was standing too far back and had to zoom.

Realized that my "biases" are in one team. These two really owned the battle, and I must say that their set was rather adorable and enjoyable to watch. I wonder if they practised beforehand bcoz it seemed really well-put together :)

Another unclear photo, but I like how they're all smiling in this picture. There's a saying that "men insult each other and don't mean it, women compliment each other and don't mean it" and I guess I can say it's pretty darn true. Haha.

For some weird reason Rapscallion wasn't as nasty, so Yazcallion kinda lost out to Henero [haha I know I just made em sound gay-ish but they didn't have a team name so yeah wtv]. Was kinda afraid that I might not "get" their disses [who knows~], but as coincidental as it can be they kinda based it on photography [pixels and lens++, how appropriate] and Spongebob [and Patrick], so it was all good. There were quite a number of other events on the same night, definitely didn't regret coming for this.

Team E!. Enero was lovely, quite random [and coincidental, again] when he suddenly pulled out his shades to battle but nevertheless, happy to see him in person. My 2nd favourite Pinoy, haha. :D

FakkahFuzz!. He is much nicer and funnier in person. As opposed to his Twitter. Which I actually also happen to like. :D

HishamThaMc!. Hahaha when I asked for a photo with him he actually asked if I know of any cute poses which totally caught me off-guard so I suggested the "saranghae" pose but it kinda failed and we looked somewhat monkey-ish. Haha. He also wished me Selamat Hari Raya before I left, I don't know why but I found it funny too. Haha. Annyeong~~ :D

THANKS ZUN YI FOR TAKING THOSE 3 BLUR PHOTOS!. :P
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE OFFICIAL PHOTOS/VIDEOS SO THAT

#10: SUMMER LOVE!. [210811]

PEACE BE UPON YOU, SEXY PEOPLE!. SO YEAH BASICALLY I WANTED TO POST A CLOSING POST TO MY SUMMER VACATION. HERE GOES MY "SUMMERY"!~ [SUMMER+SUMMARY] ;)

WANTED TO POST THIS WAY BACK WHEN JULY ENDED BUT GOT TOO CAUGHT UP. SO YEAH, new month, Ramadhan and new year of school starting at the same time. As much as the "triple-attack" happened to me, mid August I had a "triple-weekend" so I suppose that makes up for it. To make things clearer, after the BBQ [HEP], my school schedule was up and the class list after. Because I have no school on Friday, I got a triple weekend: Friday-Sunday without school, Monday school, Tuesday Public Holiday [National Day] & Wednesday Holiday [LASALLE's Founders' Day], Thursday school, and then followed by another Friday-Sunday without school. Haha August is awesome so far!~ ^^ \m/

The reason why I wanted to blog about this is bcoz I hate it when people ask me how my summer was and what I did, and there's just quite a handful to cover so I really dislike having to give a generic answer. So here is a list!~

JOBSTUNT
SUBSTATION EXPERIMENTAL FILM [ETERNITY]
CYCLING WITH FAM + SWIMMING WITH FRIENDS
FASTFIVE WITH 2M
KUNGFUPANDA2 WITH FAM
PAINTED MY ROOM
DAD'S DAY
WEST WITH ADELINE "KWON"
SCAPE WITH MAISARAH AJ
GRADSHOW WITH LMNCRW
HARU SISTER'S WEDDING WITH FARID
MIMI'S BDAY
KBOX
ESPIE LIBRARY VISITS + BARNEY MEET & GREET
WCP
ALIFF AZIZ "SCANDAL"
MOVING WORDS
KMW
ROCK BAND SESSIONS
KPOP DANCE-OFFS
BBQ

AND SOME FAMILY STUFF IN E MIDDLE.

Here are some of the photos. As the album said, my summer is pretty much like how the song depicts it. Anyways, I just want to give a massive thank you to all those who spent my summer with me. I won't say it is the best most organized summer, but alot of things happened and in that 3months I feel like I really grew so thanks a billion, really.

It's been 3weeks into school and I am swarmed over my head with things, and in a week's time it'll be Hari Raya Aidifiltri and submissions. I am not complaining though, it's a lil taxing at times but I'm glad that I can do stuff that I like for the ppl that I love.

I hope life's been treating you well too. ;)

For whatever's left,
I wish you all the best.
HAPPY ROCKMADHAN!~ ^^ \m/

#9: MAGIC DISCHANGER!. [B.o.B + ISK&HOSNI]

HI, MY NAME IS EZT AND I APPROVE THIS BLOGPOST!~ ;) HAHA OH ALRIGHT, THIS IS A WRITE-UP ABT 2 OF E BEST GIGS I WENT TO RECENTLY... IN E SPAN OF A WEEK. :P

3 Aug 2011, The Coliseum @ Hard Rock Hotel!.
Afterschool I met up with Zureena Wahap who I haven't met in years at Vivocity. Fastbreak-ed at the Banquet, and the Western food dude was sweet and he had natural curly hair!~ How cute he reminds me of YB [the movie], and I totally felt in my role as Caroline. Haha. We were running pretty late already and I rarely go to Sentosa, so the trip there was as usual, an adventure. It's amazing how Zureena and I can go out after not meeting for so long and still be able to churn out jokes and have an enjoyable, somewhat awkward adventures. I suppose that's one of the strengths of our friendship, candidness and common interests :) It was absolutely nice to see her again, especially the fact that 1Y1M ago she was with me at the Katy Perry show. Misses~ :')

Reached Hard Rock Hotel and waited outside, I asked the ticket-tearers[?.] if I had gifts can I pass it to em?. He [also a cutie] then spoke to his manager on his walkietalkie monitor and asked us to wait aside for abit. So we did. A while later a woman came out saying that "the singer won't come out to see you", which I actually laughed [B.o.B = singer lol] and said that it's okay and I was just wondering if I could drop my present off. She then said they can't accept presents on "the singer's" behalf, so I was pretty bummed and wondering if she knows anyone who knows anyone that I can pass it to. She then said that we could try waiting after the concert [wow, what a hint] and Zureena jokingly asked if he stays in the hotel and she said yup. Haha. Totally didn't expect to hear that.

So, we finally went in. I was totally surprised bcoz they didn't check our bags [maybe coz mine was too small to smuggle anything] but they were pretty relaxed!. If I knew I would've brought D3K along, could've gotten better photos :( Frankly speaking, I did not think that B.o.B is popular, especially in Singapore. But when I reached and saw the crowd, I was really pleasantly surprised. Managed to bump into Shafiqah Othman and her friend and many other friends even, and a few minutes later the show started :)

B.o.B came out with I See Ya and On Top Of The World, before the Dj did some basic beat-matching which I immediately recognized that it was Magic and screamed my heart out shocking many. Earlier that day I tweeted to him saying that I hoped he'd do Magic "coz I love it" so I was beyond happy that the first hit that he performed was Magic. The rest of the performances were alternates between singles and his more-popular songs, so it was really fun. Guess I got rather lucky, he performed almost all the songs that I wanted to hear!~ :D

Most of the crowd were younger [than me] boys, so it was rather interesting and things were pretty crazy. When Nothin’ On You came on all em boys started singing along to it and it sounded like a choir and was so funny I had troubles singing along coz I was too busy laughing. Zureena and I stood behind this 2 ah bengs [kinda] and they were rather sweet~ At some point I think I kinda annoyed em coz I made so much noise. There was a point when I even got my 1min of fame [kinda], coz B.o.B asked us to make some noise and I did my classic high-pitched screamed for almost a minute and everyone [according to Zureena] within a radius of 2metres heard it and turned behind to look. After the show the boys also said that my scream was real crazy, and I still had a lot of voice to run on so I'd like to say I'm improving~ ^^

After I'll Be In The Sky he asked if anyone had shades and I fanatically waved mine in the air. He came quite a few times to my side of the stage [and even stood on a speaker or somein at 1 point], which was surprising to me coz usually performers ignore that side of the stage. Maybe it has somein to do with him being left-handed [or so I heard], but it was definitely fun.

Because the crowd was never quiet, his vocals were definitely overshadowed with all the other sounds. After a while he came out with a guitar [I didn't know he can play one], and he was rather smiley so it was all lovely.

Talking about lovely, B.o.B also managed to slither in mentions of Singapore which made everyone roar back [like a Merlion, haha] and it was really high. As expected he was pretty witty onstage too, cleverly sneaking things like "But this is for Singapore, What's up Bobby Ray" into his lyrics. He even wished us "Happy Birthday Singapore~", which was kinda sweet. Even I wasn't thinking of it as Singaporean as I am. Haha. He also called out some of his friends and it was nice to see him enjoy the stage with his friends.

B.o.B was really hyped throughout the whole night, moving around the whole stage, jumping and climbing and asking for fistpumps, and even splashing water. Although the crowd was obviously full of guys and couples, he still performed a song "for the ladies" which was nice and awkward all around for the guys. Haha. It was also a lil bit awkward when we were asked to "chant" B.o.B for an encore, bcoz it sounded like we were saying "buay hiao bai" LOL. Anyway, he came again definitely beast-y, being all sweaty thanks to Singapore's humidity but still crazy energy and good vibes for a *cough*virgin*cough performance. There wasn't much [or any] legit fancams, but after searching I think this is the best playlist available.

In all honesty I think he actually maxed out his songs list, because I cannot think of any others that he didn't perform that he could, unless counting his mixtapes in. The concert seemed really short though somehow, but after much thought he actually performed quite a lot of songs, even new ones like Beastmode, all the popular collaborations, including an encore [which he jokingly pretended to smash his guitar], and a final cover of MGMT's Kids.

After the concert I bumped into Shigga Shay so I said hi :) I didn't stay for long [bcoz I have a crazy life], but I heard that B.o.B did come out around midnight to meet some fans and stuff. Bummer~ I also didn't know he was at Adidas earlier, could've met him :( And also at Zirca for the afterparty, but nah~

Was around the stage, then this dude came out and 2 Pinoy groupies were hitting on him and I pulled a Kanye and went all "sorry to interrupt, but..." just to pass him my present [which was meant for B.o.B, but I wast too high to realize until the day after]. Got a photo, and he [for no reason] put his arm around me, which made em more jealous and after I left they hit on him even more. Pretty funny to watch.

As big and fanatic/stalker-ish as I am/can be, I don't ever see myself as a groupie or a potential fangirl or anything along that line. Somein abt throwing myself to guys just doesn't seem natural to me, and I suppose after some time I've grown to realize that "celebrities" are pretty much normal people too, so it's a bit weird to think so highly of em to the extent that one becomes a "slave".

He went to Korea after being here and I must say I am massively jealous. Seems like Koreans get all the luck lately. Managed to find some TeamBob friends though, very nice to know that there are Koreans who doesn't like/isn't crazy about Kpop. It is always a wonder to me how Koreans can like other music, bcoz it seems that they always have Kpop shoved down their throats. Anyway, you can read about my "history" on B.o.B here. He said that he'll be back here soon, and until then I shall just dwell on his video about his trip to Singapore here :)

Talking about Singapore, I shall squeeze in the next gig that I went to into this post.

8 Aug 2011, The Esplanade Outdoor Theather!.
On the eve of National Day, Isk & Hosni [and two Ashrafs] were performing at the Esplanade. I heard about them years ago thanks to some of their Youtube covers and I've loved them ever since. I love how they can re-make a song into a punk-rockish version and they are just really lovely entertaining musicians. They even wear matching outfits. Haha. Got to know of the gig around so decided to drop by.

Went in for 1 and a half of their sets, definitely didn't regret any. Quite a turnout also, I must say I was impressed and it's probably the only time I got surrounded by so many Malay guys and was actually enjoying myself. I guess this just shows that no matter how far I go or distance myself, I will always remain [and come back to] being a Malay and punk rock. First "lurves" are forever. ;)

Anyway, here is my v-log [kinda] of the shows!~

MAJULAH AND GOD BLESS!. ^^ \m/

#8: FINGERPRINTS!. [020810/11]

ACTUALLY I THINK NOTHING'S IMPERSONAL ANYMORE IN THIS WORLD, EVEN THE NEWS IS SOMEHOW PERSONALIZED EITHER INTENTIONALLY OR OTHERWISE. BUT THIS POST IS DEFINITELY PERSONAL-IER :D

MY 1YEAR ANNIVERSARY SINCE I MET KATY PERRY JUST PASSED!. :D LIKE [ALMOST] EVERYONE ELSE, I STARTED OUT KINDA 'HATING' KATY PERRY TOO, YOU CAN READ THE FULL STORY HERE. IN CASE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE, A PART OF MY BLOG DESCRIPT WAS TAKEN FROM ONE OF HER SONGS TOO. ANYWAYS, IT WAS 2 AUGUST 2010, IN MEDIACORP STUDIOS, SINGAPORE. THE TAPING FOR ENTERTAINMENT ON 5 [E! ON 5], ARD 1400HRS.

I jumped at the chance when I got to know that I will be at the taping. A few days before it, I met up with my friend Zureena, who was a big Katy Perry fan too and we made banner-ish stuff and I tweeted to Eon5 saying that I'm skipping my first day of school for it.

Met up with Zureena and Loga at AMK Hub, cabbed to Mediacorp studios. Got our invites and started queueing. Inside the studio, I was first of all impressed at how Eon5 decorated the place. It was absolutely coherent with Katy Perry's Candy-fornia theme, and I was beyond excited. While everyone settled, Kui Jien was like reading stuff off his phone and then suddenly said "who's skipping school to come here today" and I was raised my hand. Haha guilty!~ We also knew beforehand that they would be looking for Katy Perry's "biggest fans", and a girl from SP[?.] Ashley Bei and I got chosen. Got briefed and wired, and Kui Jien actually remembered and pronounced my name correctly!. Haha he spoke some Malay before the taping also.

The moment Katy Perry walked into the set, everyone just went crazy!~ Including the star herself, she did some playful banter with the crowd it was so funny. Did quite a long interview, but only a part of it got aired. One of the questions was if she really kissed a girl, and she picked a random girl from the audience and gave her a peck on the lips!~ Power lah. Haha.

Other stuff like what she did in Singapore, her resemblance to Zoey Deschanel, Russel Brand, and Twitter were also talked about. After awhile things literally got turned around and she took Kui Jien's place and did the asking instead. Very funny and witty, I wasn't really that big of a fan of her yet until this point. Definitely did not see it coming. After the interview is over Kui Jien went "Do you want to meet some of your biggest fans over here" and she was like "yeah!~" and that we will later get to take a photo with her so I thought she was going to leave already...

Only to find a few seconds later I realize that I was actually going to be on the same stage with her throughout the programme. Basically, there was just a tower of cupcakes and Ashley and I had to find a gummy bear in one of em, and the first to get it gets a lifesize Katy Perry standee. The catch is, while we are chomping down em cupcakes, Katy will be spraying whipped cream all over us. The whole thing ended sooner than expected bcoz Ashley got a gummy bear at her first cupcake, but it was all good.

Went back to the audience, cleaned up as they shoot some of the other fillers. The producer then called me down again and I found out we actually got to meet Katy Perry and take a photo like what she said. I wasn't really excited bcoz I was still very much of a mess and I thought it was a photo for the press. Waited for Katy for some touch-ups and when she came out she was really sweet and gave us kisses. Turns out we got a polaroid photo for our own personal use too. I thought that that was really awesome!~ ^^ \m/

Gave her the "banner" thingy Zureena and I made and she said it was beautiful and then she posted it on her Twitter after the show :) Managed to grab a few cupcakes and give em to random people at the audience on my way out. Also bumped into quite a few friends in who were at the taping!. Glad ya'll were there!~ ;)

The only downside to that day was that I lost my handphone. Which kind of paid off looking at it from this futuristic point of view, bcoz I realized I created a new life after that and only those that mattered from my previous stage of life are carried forward. Bummer that my current photos from that phone was lost though. But here are some stolen ones!~ ;)

Other than for personal remembrance, I wrote this in hopes that other fans might agree that we like the same qualities, and that the 'haters' might open up their mind. Because I have been in both situations and I completely understand where you're coming from. I am also writing this as my opinion on her as of now. There might be things in the future that she does that I might not 'approve', but in general I have good connotations about her and I look forward to more great stuff ahead. In the words of Fingerprints, "Representing you and me. Don't you wanna go down in history." ;)

THERE ARE MANY MISSING LINKS IN THIS POST, WILL ADD EM IN IF I FIND EM. :) I HOPE THAT YOU WILL GET TO MEET YOUR "IDOL" AND EAT CUPCAKES TOO!. ;)
THANKS EVERYONE FOR EVERYTHING, MAY GOD BLESS YOU~~ ^^ \m/
