#7: HAWAII 99 EN PARIS!. [250711]

AS SO IT SEEEMS, THIS BLOG IS GETTING MORE PERSONAL AT EVERY NEW POST. I DON'T MIND BEING PERSONAL, I JUST HOPE THAT IT IS STILL INTERESTING FOR YOU TO READ. THE LAST THING I WANT IS TO WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME, SO I WILL DO MY BEST TO KEEP IT RELEVANT AND STILL PUT MY FLAVOUR TO IT. :D

Since it's my last few days of summer vacation, I have decided to maximized em and things are turning out rather well. Last Thursday I had a good session of Rock Band, followed by the Kpop Dance-off as posted below, and now here's another blog-worthy event!. :)

A few days before, I was told that there was a gathering planned. I wasn't personally invited, but I decided to succumb to peer pressure and crash it. I did go at my own will in the end, although I was pretty hesitant at first, but entirely curious and I wouldn't pass off the chance without a proper reason. Didn't expect much, but I can definitely say I did not regret going. Hands down the second best Monday ever :)

The thing about me is I am very sheltered and naturally anti-social, so I only go to events like this [chalet gathering++] ONCE EVERY FIVE YEARS. I abstain from such activities bcoz other than the usual "not-good" stuff, I just hate how people I know aren't themselves during it. Usually it just gets pretentious and I feel like I am stuck in those typical B-grade movie scenes that I do not even want to be a part of. Plus I'm not much of a natural partyperson, so I really do not like going to social events and being a wet blanket. This was pleasantly surprisingly different. :D

25 July 2011: Aloha Loyang [F06]

Finished dance session early and was the first to reach Pasir Ris, both "Lemoncrew" Lemonade [Faiz] and Lemonice [Suhana] were surprised at my punctuality. Haha. After a while Faiz reached too and I realized we could've taken the same bus but I took the train. Suhana was late, so we went to the Libray at White Sands to chill and bcoz I wanted the free Wifi haha. Catched up on Duels Official and some random stuff, before meeting Suhana and eating at Burger King. The songs in Burger King were quite funny, catched up more before leaving to Downtown East.

This post is called Hawaii 99 En Paris bcoz it's at Aloha Loyang [Aloha = Hawaii], coz Klax 99 invited "us" [instead of Hawaii 5-0], and En Paris bcoz it was in Pasir Ris, which in short I like to called Pa-ris [Paris!]. :D Haha. While walking there, a huge dog suddenly started barking and it really seemed like it could get to us so we were all shocked and I screamed -_-" Reached the pit and we were the first!. Gosh it was so funny. I even thought I was being pranked.

12 minutes later Aliff, Faisal [Art?.], and Ryan[?.] arrived. A bit awkward but the three of em were friendly [and pretty funny too] :) Aliff had a mini-mohawk again and I love it~ ;) Passed to em my crownie'z [cookies/brownies] and Suhana's chocolate muffins. They set up the table, and after awhile realized that they had tablecloth so they had to re-set the table and it was quite funny. Faiz talked about my new shoes, then we exchanged munchies with each other and had a semi-critique session. Suhana asked me what's the recipe and I failed to remember.

Went in for abit, then realized there was a backdoor which Suhana opened and there was this "high-elements only that it's actually low" rope thingy. Of course I jumped on the chance to play, and Suhana captured some nice photos. Faiz started to show-off and we took more photos and it was very fun. If I had my own backyard, I want one innit!~ ;)

If I had to say somein negative, it's probably the fact that I did not appreciate the presence of one of the guests. But I let it pass, as we all know, there's always that one person [or more] that somehow ends up at your event and kinda spoils it.

Anyway,... for the first time in my entire life that I went to a chalet [or anything equivalent to one] that was full of boys and we all drank... Bandung. haha. I still don't like how it turned out, wish I could've made it better but nvm. Somewhen later nearer to the evening Klax finally came, and following that some more familiar faces. Btw, here's what was served!~ :) Found out that Klax cooked the noodles, haha. It was actually good!~ Quite impressed, haha.

Chilled for some time inside, before going out to the pit. Klax actually made a print for the gathering, but it'll take time to develop and I only had my smelly dance-session tshirt so we gotta have to wait for school to reopen to get our shirts printed :P

Initially I didn't take the guys's compliments about my crownie'z seriously, I mean they are guys, they probably eat everything. But then the girls started talking about it and it finally sunk to me that I have unknowingly baked the best brownies I ever did -_-" Joke Of The Day: Baking crownie'z last minute at 2AM on the day itself and realizing that I did not have enough/some ingredients, so I improvised. Only to find out later that it actually tastes good and I have no idea what I've put and if I could re-create the same thing again lol. Totally didn't expect it to be sucha crowd-pleaser, if I knew I could've made more. Plus didn't think of the fact that I could've reheated and put a marshmallow on it, kinda wasted :(

Still felt odd to hangout with them plus we were kinda outnumbered on our side, but can't help but to slowly warm up to em. Wished there were more people who came though. Left around 2045 coz it was getting late and we didn't want to overstay our welcome but they were very accomodating and lovely. One of the funny moments was when someone asked "when is the party starting?." and someone else replied "mana ayam uh?." LOL Even when we were about to leave they were like "belum makan ayam!~" HAHAHAHA Which I actually find tempting [and somehow endearing] bcoz I love chicken. Haha. Before we left, I managed to roast some marshmallows [yay~] and we all took photos.

Had some tea with LMNCREW at Downtown East after the whole thing and made more inside jokes. The whole day was just so perfect somehow and I wouldn't have had it any other way. During the group photo I did a split and the floor was rough so I tore a lil bit of skin on my lower leg and now I have a scar to rmb this day by~ :D

Being the first ever chalet [that was planned by guy-friends] that I've ever attended, it is probably the best event I ever had in the East [not sure why but usually all my experiences in the East sucks]. I like how simple, sincere [and kinda selenger] it was. It wasn't pretentious or boring, and despite the obvious tension I really enjoyed the company. In fact, I think I am starting to re-like Malay guys. Haha. I appreciate all your lame/dirty jokes and dancing like derps to make the situation more comfy. Wish I knew about the gathering earlier though, could've maximised and brought more yummy stuff and fully utilize the bbq.

It's a bit of a shame that this is only happening now, and we'd probably drift apart since we are in different specialisms. Nice meeting [almost] everyone again though, off the top of my head, thank you Klax, Faisal, Aliff, Lakhai, Ryan, Wan, Keysha, Mirza, the two other ladies that I didn't manage to catch their name, and LMNCREW.

I love art and food and good company, and I am glad that Lasalle brought us together and I hope it will bring us closer in the future. Let's all work hard together and improve ourselves so that we can contribute more/better to the world!~ And then hopefully to come back and have another "lepak" session again ;)

PHOTOS FROM SUHANA'S CAM & KLAX'S CAM, MIGHT UPLOAD MORE PHOTOS/VIDEOS SOON :) MAY OUR DREAMS ALL COME TRUE!. ;)
GOD BLESS YOU~~ ^^ \m/
